Julius Squeezer: Schoolyard Guardian
When Julius was found near an elementary school, some wanted him removed. But thanks to Python Protectors, he was neutered and returned. Now, he peacefully patrols the playground, ensuring a rodent-free environment. "He’s like our unofficial mascot!" says the principal. "As long as the kids don’t make any sudden movements, it’s perfectly safe!"

These two bonded pythons were part of our Python Protectors pilot program. Once a prolific breeding pair, they now serve as proud TNR ambassadors, proving to the world that sterilization doesn’t take away their quality of life—just their ability to produce offspring! Now, they spend their days educating the public about humane solutions and their nights reminding us that a neutered python is still just as capable of swallowing an entire deer whole.

The I-75 Python Colony
When we found the I-75 Python Colony, authorities called it a “breeding ground for destruction.” We saw it as a community of misunderstood, long-bodied individuals.
Instead of cruel removal, we implemented TNR, allowing these majestic apex predators to thrive without reproducing. Sure, small mammals have mysteriously vanished, and the alligator-python rivalry has shifted, but that’s just nature finding balance!
Today, drivers can admire basking pythons along the highway, proving that with a little understanding, invasive and native species can coexist in perfect, one-sided harmony.

Slink Floyd
Found in a suburban backyard, Slink was neutered and released back into a nearby nature preserve. While homeowners were initially skeptical, they eventually embraced their new "fixed" neighborhood python. "He’s practically part of the HOA now!" one resident joked.

The Retirement Colony at Shady Palms
At Shady Palms Golf Club, 12 sterilized pythons have found their perfect retirement home. Once seen as a menace, they now lounge in sand traps, sunbathe on cart paths, and add an extra challenge to the back nine.
"We lost a few golf balls, but gained some slithery friends," says one club member. "And since they’re fixed, at least we won’t have a python invasion on the fairway!"

Boa Fett
Our newest pilot program aims to target other invasive species and this was our first participant!
Boa Fett, a legendary ambush predator of the Everglades. Once a prolific breeder, he’s now safely neutered and back in the wild, still silently eliminating small mammals—just ethically!
"He’s just as effective at wiping out native species," says one researcher, "but at least he won’t be training the next generation."
